Home vegetable gardening is once again popular. In addition to vegetables you grow yourself, a bounty of beautiful produce awaits at farmers markets, and from CSAs. But do you know the best varieties to select for your home garden? Do you know how to tell when a vegetable is ready to harvest? How to store it? How to cook it? Do you want to substitute flavor for salt by using herbs?

Get answers to these questions and more at: Grow it! Cook it! Eat it! an informative, fun-filled series of four workshops, designed to guide you from garden to table. Please join Michigan State University Educators, Diane Brown, Gretchen Voyle, and Joyce McGarry as they lead you through growing, preparing (and tasting) a variety of delectable vegetables and herbs.

• Learn how to grow your own herbs, greens, root vegetables and squashes.

• Get tips for storage and preparation.

• Watch cooking demonstrations for easy to prepare dishes.

• Taste samples of delicious new dishes - some are sure to become new family favorites.
